Located in Columbia’s historic Vista district, The Lantern occupies the city’s original fire station. With 59 boutique rooms across three restored buildings, our hotel blends architectural character, local flavor, and a one-of-a-kind mission into every guest experience.

In collaboration with USC’s HRSM and CarolinaLIFE programs, The Lantern offers hands-on hospitality training to students of all abilities. This partnership fosters professional development, independence, and inclusion, while giving students meaningful employment and guests the opportunity to support the next generation of hospitality talent.
